Stone IPA
Recently on the BeerCast we quoted BrewDog co-founder James Watt’s opinion that British brewers had lost the sense of tradition when it comes to India Pale Ales. Modern mass-marketed IPA’s from this side of the Atlantic do tend to be session strength and lacking the hop bite of the old-fashioned versions of the past. The […]

In praise of…Ye Olde Mitre

BeerCast #38 – Bières du Quebec Part 1. BeerCaster CraigAS recently returned to the UK after living in Montreal for several years. Home to a thriving beer scene, Quebec has some really inventive brewers – and thanks to Craig we managed to sample a few. In fact he brought so many over we had to split the podcast into two parts. Grooben, Shovels and Richard join CraigAS for francophone fun – please be warned this podcast contains some truly awful French.

2. Dieu du Ciel Route des Épices (5.5%)
3. L’Alchimiste La Bock de Joliette (6.1%)

However, they back this up with a variety of good beers – Hardcore IPA made it into our Beer of the Year Show for 2008, we’ve also […]
