To the South!

As the glorious British summer dawdles to a damp and squelchy end, the BeerCast has dispatched our multi-talented panel pairing of Andy and Jess to France, to see if they can dig up a beer or two amidst all that vin rouge. When they return to the UK, Episode 4 of the BeerCast will be gently placed onto iTunes, and features our largest tasting session yet, as they join the Edinburgh-based regulars Richard, Shovels and MrB (along with MrsB), to sample beers from the South of England. If you’d like to drink along with us, the three beers tested are at the end of this post. The podcast – complete with our now famous theme music – should be up sometime around the first week of September.

Also in the pipeline, our panellists have been journeying around the globe looking for interesting brews – over the next couple of months we could have reports filed from (amongst others) Yorkshire, deepest Canada, New York, the Isle of Mull, Italy, and Japan. Until then, enjoy the beers, and happy drinking…

Beers to find for Episode 4

Abbot Ale, Greene King [Bury St Edmonds, Suffolk]
Bishop’s Finger, Shepherd Neame [Faversham, Kent]
Fullers Organic Honeydew, Fullers Brewery [Chiswick, London]
