On Thursday, the New Town’s newest takeout beer shop BottleDog are hosting a tasting event to make you hang around a while – focusing on the joys of sour beers and saisons. With a guide through the different regions, styles and histories, these challenging beers are hugely rewarding. The ticket price gets you six different beers and you can book by emailing bottledogedinburgh@brewdog.com with your details and how many spaces you’d like to book.



Thursday 18th [to Sunday 21st]
Knops Showcase
The Guildford Arms, 1 West Register St
Knops Beer Twitter feed

Starting this Thursday (and continuing all weekend) – the Guildford Arms are hosting a tap takeover from one of the more local producers – East Lothian’s Knops Beer. On the bar – Knops IPA, East Coast Pale, Musselburgh Smoke, Fortitude North Belgian IPA, all £2.50 a pint. So get there early!
