Thursday 5th

On Thursday, the Southern is the place to be for a very unique beer launch. Argyll’s finest have been really taking their beermaking to the next level since the inauguration of their new brewhouse (and they were at a fairly high level already), and beers such as Wheat Russian are the result. Inspired by the Dude’s White Russians, it is a white stout brewed with wheat and flaked barley, augmented by coffee, Cocoa nibs and vanilla (see more at their recent blog post. Nice Marmot!

Thursday 5th
Meet the Brewer – Stewart Brewing
The Laird and Dog, High St, Lasswade
Laird and Dog website

This week’s Meet the Brewer event takes place on the same night, on the other side of the bypass at the Laird and Dog in Lasswade. Stewart Brewing will be along to showcase their more recent offerings, such as (for instance) the return of their fantastic Hefeweizen and Pilsner.

The Edinburgh Beer Weekly will be published every Sunday here on the BeerCast. If you have an event in or around the city that you’d like to feature – please get in touch at the usual email address. Cheers!
