So, what’s happening in the Edinburgh beer scene over the next seven days?

Monday 9th 8:00pm
Brunette but Easy at Appellation
Appellation Wines, 43 Dalry Road
Appellation Wines website tickets £10

Next week begins in traditional style, with a tasting at Appellation Wines’ Dalry branch. The topic under discussion this time is the follow up to their ‘Blonde but Complex’ beer tasting that took place just before Christmas. Dark beers aren’t all hard work, and Ash and the team will be demonstrating that with a selection that are very easy to spend an afternoon (or evening) with.

Wednesday 11th 7:00pm
Beer and Food Matching with Stewart Brewing
Cloisters Bar, 26 Brougham St
Further Details / Booking Information Tickets £50

On Wednesday, Cloisters Bar are hosting a beer and food pairing event with Stewart Brewing. This second ‘Winter Feast’ was the result of a previous dinner selling out so quickly – so head to the link above and pick up tickets. The menu has a game and seafood theme, in keeping with Cloisters’ new menu (how does ‘Steamed Lobster & Crab Gyoza Dumplings with Toasted Sesame Oil, Soy & Spring Onion’ sound?) – and of course, each course will be paired with a complementary beer from Stewart Brewing.

The Edinburgh Beer Weekly will be published every Sunday here on the BeerCast. If you have an event in or around the city that you’d like to feature – please get in touch at the usual email address. Cheers!
