So – what’s happening in the Edinburgh beer scene over the next seven days?

Monday 29th 8:00pm
A-Z of Beer at Appellation – D
Appellation Wines, 43 Dalry Road
Appellation Wines website tickets £10

The week begins with the fourth instalment of Appellation Wines’ A-Z feature, which as you can probably appreciate sees Craig and the team lining up the letter D. For this particular prefix, expect a tasting revolving around styles such as Dunkleweizen, Doppelbock, and even a Dry Stout. Head along to discover these, and more, from 8pm on Monday.

Tuesday 30th 7:00pm
Meet the Brewer – Fourpure
The Hanging Bat, 133 Lothian Rd
Further Information Tickets £25

The next night, the Hanging Bat is the place to be as the latest in their series of Meet the Brewer events takes place. The visitors this month to Lothian Road are London’s Fourpure Brewing Co, part of the brimful Bermondsey brewing scene. If you’re not totally aware of Fourpure – and you should be, their beers are great – you might at least know them for eschewing bottles and releasing beer only in cans (aside from their draught beers, of course). Head down to the Bat on Tuesday to find out why, along with the answers to any other questions you have…

The Edinburgh Beer Weekly will be published every Sunday here on the BeerCast. If you have an event in or around the city that you’d like to feature – please get in touch at the usual email address. Cheers!
