Summer Beers at Appellation CB
Appellation Wines, Comely Bank Road
Appellation Wines website tickets £10

Monday’s Appellation Wines tasting involves beers for summer. The weather might not exactly be here yet, but that doesn’t mean you can’t try and chase some sunshine with a few summery beers. Expect IPA’s, hopped-up lagers, and other shimmerers of the season.

Tuesday 27th 7:30pm
Meet the Brewer – Fyne Ales
The Hanging Bat, 133 Lothian Rd

It’s fairly surprising that the Hanging Bat have yet to feature a Scottish brewer at their MTB events; but they are putting it right this week; Fyne Ales are coming to town. Just look at the beer list. Jarl, Fynebank, Weavers Point, Highlander, Hurricane Jack, Vital Spark, Sanda Blonde, Hurricane Jack, Sublime Stout, From The Ashes, Bollywood Dreams, Bloomin Brew, Superior IPA, Avalanche, Maverick and the one-off Hanging Bat Brew Co collaboration Juniper Rye PA.

Thursday 29th 5:30pm – 7:30pm
Drop in Tasting – Fyne Ales

If you’ve not had your fill of Fyne Ales from Tuesday, you’ll have another opportunity later in the week; on Thursday, help yourself to a few free tasters of their beers at Marchmont’s Cork and Cask. There’s no excuse for not getting some of Argyll’s finest in this week!

Thursday 29th [to Sunday 1st June]

The Guildford Arms, 1 West Register St
Allendale Brewery Twitter.

On Thursday (but continuing all weekend) – the Guildford Arms will be featuring beers from one of Northumberland’s newly re-branded breweries – Allendale, who updated their look in February, have highly-distinctive pump clips; on the bar – APA, Pennine Pale, Mosaic and US Porter. All the beers will be on at £2.50 a pint, while they last. Don’t be surprised if they don’t last long!

The Edinburgh Beer Weekly will be published every Sunday here on the BeerCast. If you have an event in or around the city that you’d like to feature – please get in touch at the usual email address. Cheers!
