The legendary Great Grog Edinburgh bottled beer festival is taking place once again – this Saturday, the 26th of April at Cafe Camino (just behind John Lewis, at the Omni Centre entrance). From 1-6pm, at least a dozen Scottish micro-breweries will be pouring samples of their beers, and talking ticket-holders through their philosophies and brewing processes. There will be over a hundred bottles available to sample on the day, as well as rare draught beer (including one made by the Great Grog staff just for the festival) – and, of course, the opportunity to purchase beer to take away.
Tickets are £10, but they are rapidly selling out – at the time of writing there are only eight (of two hundred) left. Fear not! The BeerCast has been given three pairs of tickets to give away, in competition style!
If you’re in Edinburgh on Saturday the 26th, and fancy going, then there are three ways that you can get hold of a pair:-
1. You can reply to this blog post, by leaving a comment below. Let me know that you’d like to come!
2. You can send a tweet @thebeercast using the hashtag #GreatGrogFest
3. You can like the BeerCast on Facebook
Each method has one pair of tickets associated, so you can (if you’re really keen/bored) enter three times. Triple your chances! (If you have already liked us on Facebook, then send us an FB Message or post on the profile to take part). One entrant will be randomly selected for each category, and those winners will be announced on Thursday the 24th of April, so you have until then to get the entries in.
The lucky attendees will then have their names on the Great Grog guestlist at Cafe Camino for the event. Our decision is final, there is no cash alternative, keep out of direct sunlight, and don’t boil or it will impair the flavour. Good luck!
