Monday 17th 8:00pm
Pale Ales at Appellation CB
Appellation Wines, Comely Bank Road
Appellation Wines website tickets £10

Pale ales – we all love them, no point in fighting it. But this most popular of beer styles means that so many variations are brewed, from producers all over the world. Head along to Appellation Wines’ Comely Bank branch and let Ash and the team tempt you with some you may never have tried before.

Thursday 20th 7:00pm
Beer versus wine evening
Blackfriars, 57-61 Blackfriars St
Further Information Tickets £45. Phone 0131 558 8684

Edinburgh’s newest craft restaurant (see what I did there?) are hosting another event that is sure to get the imagination flowing. It’s the age-old food-pairing battle of beer versus wine. Which stands up best to a series of dishes? Two expert guides have been selected, and with choices such as the following, it sounds like a fascinating evening: Peelham Farm pork, celeriac, onions, apple with Redchurch Great Eastern IPA vs Domaine Wachau Gruner Veltliner.

Saturday 22nd 5:00pm
Meet the Brewer – Tiny Rebel
The Hanging Bat, 133 Lothian Rd
Further Information Tickets SOLD OUT (see below)

The latest Hanging Bat meet the brewer sees the Welsh wonders of Tiny Rebel head up to Edinburgh, and as ever it should be a great night. Also, as ever, the tickets are already gone – but if you missed out, don’t let that stop you turning up to try some sensational beers. A lot of them, too – they will be bringing fourteen keg and six cask with them, so head down and see what the considerable fuss is about…
