So – what’s happening in the Edinburgh beer scene over the next seven days?

Monday 29th
The Bow Bar Summer Beer Festival [to Sunday 4th August]
The Bow Bar, 80 West Bow
Beer List PtI, Beer List PtII

The weather may have broken a little from the uncompromising heat of the other week, but the Bow Bar’s Summer Beer Festival is still running along as per usual for this time of year. Irrespective of the weather outside, in the cool, quiet interior of the Bow, beer is king. Check out the two Tweets listed above for the full beer list, and follow the Bow to find out what’s on the taps when. As ever, expect to find the best and most-up-to-date mix of thoughtful British cask ale and kegged beer.

Monday 29th 8:00pm
Meet the Brewer – Robert Knops
Appellation Wines, 43 Dalry Road
Appellation Wines website tickets £10

Also on Monday, Dalry’s Appellation Wines is the place to be, as the Archerfield Ace himself, Robert ‘call me Bob’ Knops is in town. Head along for a great Meet the Brewer session, try some of Bob’s great beers, and find out how he’s faring in his multi-million pound brewery in exotic East Lothian. Bob’s never short of a story or two, so it should be a great night.

On Wednesday, head to BrewDog for a night of sour beers from the Uk and overseas. Lynn from BrewDog sent this over…”We’re having a bit of a sour beer hollapalooza on Wednesday the 31st.The beers kick off at 6pm, are all lowish  ABV so great for a school night!
