Valentine’s at the Holyrood [to 18th Feb]

Valentine’s Day still hasn’t appeared, yet romantic types can fill their boots at the Holyrood 9A. Head down with your significant other and enjoy their romantic dinner offer for beer lovers. For the sum of £50, you receive two halves of Williams Brothers Caesar Augustus, two burgers of your choice, four specially selected bottles of beer to share, and two desserts. It sounds like the perfect evening for that special beer fan in your life – and if you really love them, feel free to treat them more than once – the offer runs until Saturday.

The latest themed tasting at Appellation Wine’s flagship store (now that they have another) is on Monday, as the attention turns to Innis & Gunn’s range of beers. Head down to Dalry and find out what makes them such a success story, as Ash and the team guide you through the different varieties.
Thursday 14th [to Sunday 17th]
Scottish Borders Brewery Showcase

Starting this Thursday (and continuing all weekend) – the Guildford Arms will be featuring beers from Jedburgh’s Scottish Borders brewery. Expect the beers to fly out, particularly as they are being served at £2.50 a pint and it’s a rugby weekend. On the bar – Foxy Blonde, Dark Horse, Holy Cow and Love Birds. Head down to the Guildford to try them out, but don’t be surprised if they don’t last long!
