Drink quickly or soapy sickly

Pilsner is the ubiquitous lager/beer of Ecuador, from the coast to the high Andes. It comes in 330ml and enormous 680ml bottles.

I went for the 330mls where possible.

At its best i.e. really cold and in 330ml bottles, the Pilsener is a light, bubbly lager which you can drink fast without suffering from burps and has a slight honey tinge.

Within 10 minutes of opening it however, the beer becomes watery, insipid and rather like the dregs of a washing up water left outside in a bowl on a cold wintry day.

7/10 at the start, dribbling to a 2/10 finish.
